ISCW Preparations
Every year around this time, leading up to ISCW, everything changes for companies in the Electronic Security Industry. Many of us who would ordinarily be involved in routine tasks, now find ourselves hurrying to put the finishing touches on preparations for our year’s biggest show.
Keri Systems is no stranger to this buzz, and has been involved with the ISC Events for all of our 28 years in business. It’s never just “routine,” and it’s always packed with surprises to the end.
The Trade Show Boogie Man
Just this week, when everything seemed to be lined-up for “perfection-in-execution,” we ran into a last minute snag. First, an enlarged, redesign of our booth structure looked to fail, as a major strut was sagging due to its increased size. Then we decided to completely change the way we presented a grouping of our equipment on the booth, requiring new pieces to be fabricated.
Finally, I got a call from our storage crew telling me that our feature turnstile seemed to be missing in their cavernous warehouse. The folks we work with are like family, so we had a bit of a laugh over this latest challenge – albeit, a nervous laugh!
We have come to expect the unexpected, and we usually find that our presentation benefits from a few challenges and creative thinking. Things are back on track and we’re looking forward to a great show.
What’s Coming to ISCW 2018
In a previous post, I mentioned that Keri has been fortunate to consistently bring new products to the show every year. This year, our booth has been enlarged by 50%, as we simply ran out of room for everything we have to exhibit. We’ve also upgraded our position to very nearly the center of the show and enlarged our signage. We intend to be easy to find and will be fully staffed to answer all your detailed questions. During various times, there will be Keri Representatives from all over the country and Latin America, along with various employees and officers of the company, to answer the not-so-normal questions.
Intelliprox Blue
This year, look for Keri to Introduce our new Bluetooth enabled controller, called Intelliprox® Blue. This attractive little controller handles basic access control at a single door with the capability to do both entry and exit readers. It is programmed by any compatible mobile device or PC within Bluetooth range, running a free downloadable app. A single app can run multiple controllers for an easy and convenient way to introduce access control into a limited installation where advanced features and linking aren’t required. The unit is small and packaged the way a typical thermostat would be configured, making it unobtrusive for installation anywhere.
Turnstiles
Very obvious upon approaching the booth will be a representative sample our our new line of Turnstiles, which are beautifully crafted, customizable, and carry a two year warranty. These turnstiles have drawn strong attention and praise at previous showings, and we anticipate an energetic reception this year in Las Vegas.
Partnerships and Integrations
Finally, but equally important, Keri will be showcasing our technology integration with several well known industry partners. We will have a display to illustrate Keri’s Doors.NET Software, driving a system of Allegion Wireless locks, a Comelit Intercom, our Bi-directional Turnstile, a Milestone VMS coupled to a pair of cameras and a BioSync Biometric reader, all under our single interface. We will also will demonstrate Keri’s new Command, Control and Mapping Client, called Telepathy.
Please plan to stop by and see us this year at ISC West. You will find us eager to greet you in Booth 10073, with a lot of new technology to talk about. For those of you who know us from our many years in business, we will be thrilled to see you again. For those few who may be meeting us for the first time, please come be our guest!
