How long will it take?
A typical database conversion from Doors.NET to Borealis only takes a few days once we have all the information and the hubs are online with the cloud server. A Doors32 to Borealis conversion takes a bit longer because the Doors32 database must first be converted to Doors.NET and then to Borealis. Depending on the size of the database, the entire conversion process from start to finish can take up to 1 week.
Will I need to buy extra hardware?
In most cases the only additional hardware required would be 1 or more hubs depending on the size of the existing system and/or the configuration of the network that the existing controllers reside on.
Do I have to set everything up again?
No. The Borealis White Glove Conversion moves most of the current database and configuration from your on premise software to the Cloud Server. Any reprogramming or configuration changes are done by the Conversion Team.
Are there any extra costs?
The cost for a Borealis White Glove conversion is determined by the number of doors in the existing system and how many Hubs are required.
Is there any downtime?
Downtime is minimal. In most cases the only downtime is at the end of the conversion when some controller types need to be reset. This usually takes less than 1 minute per controller. The majority of the conversion process is done without direct connection to the existing controllers onsite.
